🌊 Island Escape: Balboa Island Adventures
One of my favorite parts of the trip was visiting Balboa Island. The hotel offered a ride there, and I hopped on the Balboa Ferry — a short but scenic experience that really makes you feel like you’re on vacation.

On one of my last days, I drove to Newport Coast for a full beach day. There’s easy parking, and from there you can take the $1 shuttle or walk through a charming tunnel trail (which I did — gotta get those steps in!).
The beach is peaceful and beautiful — less crowded, with lots of space to spread out. It’s perfect for a full recharge day.
